Wine is both the object of pleasure and knowledge but pleasure does depend on your knowledge of wines. Hence, come to our wine-tasting party and find pleasure in the knowledge. We are pairing our unique wines with special cheese and delightful foods.

  • Camp 2022 Chardonnay, North Coast
Finally, the easy-drinking Chardonnay we've all been looking for
Chardonnay is divisive, but love it or hate it, we can all agree that an easy-drinking white wine is what we're looking for on sunny afternoons. The 2022 Camp Chardonnay is bright with stone fruit and honeysuckle on the nose. It was aged in all neutral oak for seven months, so there's a good dose of fresh cream on the palate without the heavy oakiness that plagues so many California Chardonnays today. More reminiscent of Mersault than Napa.
  • Gail Wine 2021 Chenin Blanc, Sonoma County
Smooth but bold, a white from California's forgotten favorite grape
Chenin Blanc was once the most popular grape in California, and it's been enjoying a renaissance in the last ten years as a younger generation of winemakers discover the many differing expressions of the grape. The Gail 2021 Chenin Blanc is from a single vineyard in Sonoma County, near the town of Kenwood. The climate and soil are ideal for producing bright, juicy wines with high levels of natural acidity. On the palate, this Chenin Blanc expresses flavors of lemon verbena, apple blossoms, and a flinty minerality.
  • Ultraviolet Sparkling Rosé, California
Fun and flirty, with just enough serious depth for a sparkling rosé
Winemaker Samantha Sheehan found a great Pinot Noir vineyard right on the Mendocino County coast, above 1000 feet in elevation, and after making a serious Pinot Noir under her POE Wines label, she couldn't resist creating a sparkling rosé with the same grapes under her value-price label, Ultraviolet. The result is light, lively rosé with sizable bubbles and a substantial weight on the palate, enough to hold up to an afternoon charcuterie board or a pre-dinner salad course.
  • Poco a Poco 2021 Carignan, Mendocino
Crunchy and bright, showing the true nature of Carignan
Carignan is Calfornia's true "sixth man," a grape that holds its acidity late in the season, and is frequently called in from the bench when to blend into California red wines when grapes like Cabernet and Zinfandel come in without enough "oomph." This 100 percent Carignan is from a single biodynamically farmed vineyard and made by winemaker Luke Bass, who loves his wines crunchy and chewy. This wine has light fresh blossoms on the palate but a lively consistency on the palate that just begs for stinky cheese or a chicken sandwich.
  • Jelly Roll 2019 Syrah, Redwood Valley
Australia's best grape is ready to be rediscovered in California
Syrah is beloved by Australians because it can take the heat and stay juicy without getting flabby. This Syrah is 100 percent Syrah from Redwood Valley, and it's a crowd-pleaser with a deep red, burgundy color. Hints of cherry and raspberry fruit on the nose, with a touch of spice. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied with lushness and elegance, and a wonderful silky long finish.
